Last one of my little South African 'bestiary' ;-) ---- all the animals, by the way, live in the wild in Pilanesberg. Taking photographs outside the car, therefore, is always a risky business. Especially if you're shooting landscapes. There is no time to mount a tripod as you might easily become lunch. The photographs of the white lion cub and the cheetah were taken from an open door of a small van - (with a beating heart, I must admit.) --- A word on the lenses: I had to travel with light equipment, therefore, I brought my K3, which I like very much. The DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135 were the only lenses I took. Personally, I think both count among the best lenses Pentax have ever built.

Hi Martin,
Nice series you made. Also fun that you describe how it all took place. A little adrenaline from time to time might be good for your health as well maybe ;-)
Personally, I liked the zebra and the giraffe most. Thanks for showing us. These images of the animals in their natural environment obviously excel zoo images by far.
Warm best,
DJ
